Syllabus
The 200-Hour Curriculum: Core Units
Unit 1: Foundations of Yoga — 30 Hours
Study of the etymology, meaning, and definitions of Yoga as a vast discipline integrating mind, body, and spirit. Explores authentic texts including the Patanjal Yogasutras, Bhagvad Gita, and various Upanishads.
Unit 5: Shreemadbhagvadgita — 30 Hours
The concept and message of Yoga within the Gita. Covers the nature of Atma and Paramatma, Pranayama, and the harmonious blending of Bhakti, Karma, and Jnana Yoga leading to Moksha.
Unit 7: Patanjali Yogasutra — 40 Hours
Introduction to Maharshi Patanjali and the Yogasutras. Covers the four chapters — Samadhi pada, Sadhana pada, Vibhuti pada, and Kaivalya pada — and the practice of Patanjali's Ashtanga Yoga.
Unit 10: Contribution of Yogis — 20 Hours
Detailed life history and works of Maharshi Patanjali, and the teachings and literary works of Adi Shankaracharya, bringing historical depth to the young yogi's understanding.
Practical Training
Practical Yoga Poses (Asanas): 80 Hours
The largest single component of the curriculum, dedicated to hands-on mastery of 50 specific yoga poses — from foundational to challenging — with a focus on safe alignment, breath linkage, and joyful movement.
50 Curated Asanas
Includes foundational poses through advanced postures such as Cow Face Pose, Crow Pose, Handstand, Sphinx Pose, and Wild Thing — carefully selected for the 10–16 age group.
